The new amounts became effective on <strong><u>April 1, 2026<\/u><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Resolution also creates the Industrial Property Fee Unit (UMAPI) as a new reference unit for certain official fees charged by the agency. Its initial value was set at one hundredth of the official fee corresponding to a new trademark application, in one class, with up to 20 indications of goods or services.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It should be noted that the first economic impact of the measure took place on April 1, 2026, when the new official fees in Argentine pesos came into effect. In turn, the effective application of the UMAPI will begin on May 1, 2026, as from which date that unit will be updated monthly in accordance with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) published by INDEC.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From then on, regarding the official fees covered by this system, the final amount in Argentine pesos will result from the number of UMAPIs assigned to each filing and the value of that unit in force at the time of payment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We will continue to closely follow the implementation of this measure and keep our clients informed of any relevant developments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Resolution No. 75\/2026 the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), published on 18 March 2026, an update was ordered for most of the official fees charged by the agency for the services provided.
